Our Story
It all started with a small dish of chilli oil on the side of a mid-week dinner. We were looking for a spice hit that wouldn’t blow our heads off, but everything we could find at the supermarket or the asian grocer was either:
way too hot, sending us to the an uncomfortable trip to the loo
had flavours, preservatives, MSG or other nasties that ended in more numbers than our mobiles
…so we went out to make our own easy chilli oil that would help add that little bit of ‘rawr’ to our dinner and food. 3 hours or so later and about 50 spoonfuls of chilli oil later, we were in love with the magical crispy chilli oil that somehow came out of our kitchen!
We loved it so much we started sharing it with friends and family. One day, we realised that we couldn’t keep this to our (embarrassingly small) social circles, and so RAWR was born.
After a few months of ‘umming’ and ‘ahhing’, boring legal and regulatory stuff and a moments of ‘what are we even doing’, we finally brought RAWR to the world, and here we are!
